Peter McCarthy is one of the most dangerous men in the "recovery" field. He habitually preys on newcomers in the halls of AA and NA. The "program" he is running is really a cult. He lures people back from meetings saying that he is holding another meeting at his house. He then preaches from the Bible saying that he is the voice of God. This is not NA! NA has no affiliation with any religion nor does it have any leaders, and the people we trust to make decisions are certainly not decided by Divine right. It is horrifying to watch him and his disciples go from meeting to meeting to find people in hard places to take advantage of financially, and the women physically. THIS IS A CULT, with the possibility of turning into a Waco, Heavens Gate, or Jonestown scenario.Give him a wide berth
ReplyDeleteI agree totally and reported him to lynn public health and have tried to reach the state health department which I will continue to do because what I experienced was so disturbing and these revival meetings at his place each week are really disturbing as where he says he's channeling the voice of God and all of his proselytes worship and praise him for their salvation!!! Woo hooo keep fighting this sicko and reporting him until someone listens and go to the lynn shelter if you have to ..its cleaner and free.

Well Peter still slips and uses and has a house manager Steve that drinks in the house. Is that a great recovery program?? I think NOT!! Peter is only in it for the money to support not only his habit but all of his womens habits that he keeps having kids with.Hes a crook and a liar and I wouldn't believe one word out of his mouth. What a disgrace to the community and for those who are really trying to remain sober and recover. He gives the GOOD sober homes a bad reputation.Its all about the money with Peter!!
ReplyDeleteI am a resident that lives in the same complex as Peter's program. This program is a joke, it gives those who are really in "recovery" a bad name. Why is it that adults don't understand how rude it is to slam the door at all hours of the night or that vulgar language shouldn't be used in the presence of children. It is also embarassing to have company over your home and your company hears a program resident outside yelling on their cell phone about their personal information. I work in this field and these residents need treatment which I don't see happening here. Behaviors need to change in order for one to get better and in order for this to happen good management needs to be present.

James Clark was a client at the same address where the Director/Manager Carl Smith resided at ,New Horizon House , 50 Draper Street in Dorchester MA. Carl Smith is suppose to be a state licensed Mental Health Clinician , If so , than why did he discharge James Clark ? James clark never tested postive for a toxicology screen for illegal or prescription drugs, than why was he discharged ?
He was discharged for behavioral and attitude problems that were related to his psychiatric and substance abuse diagnosis. Carl Smith L.M.H.C. should have been able to detect that this man had psychological problems and referred him for treatment to MAD DOG aka Punyamurtula Kishore s Neurological Clinic for treatment and to help James Clark get back on his psychiatric medication. Instead , Carl Smith discharged him and the same day , James Clark murdered his 81 year old grandmother Eleanor Clark in Weston Massachusetts .

I worked at his Brookline office and witness the death of many patients. Dr. Kishore should be arrested, arraigned and prosecuted for 1st. degree murder or manslaughter. Punyamurtula Kishore M.D. and three other defendants will go on trial for Medical Insurance Fraud. The state Board of Registration in Medicine suspended the license of Dr. Punyamurtula Kishore after finding that he posed “an immediate and serious threat to the public health, safety and welfare.”
Kishore closed clinics in 2011 without notifying patients in advance. Dr. Punyamurtula Kishore was reprimanded, fined $2,500 and required to perform 50 hours of Board-approved community service and to complete additional continuing professional development credits.
He was found to have inappropriately filed four Temporary Involuntary Hospitalization Applications for the purpose of drug treatment and drug testing. Dr. Kishore is a 1975 graduate of Andhra Medical College in India. He specializes in Addiction Medicine and has been licensed in Massachusetts since 1978.
Punyamurtula Kishore, M.D. and three other defendants will go on trial for allegedly bilking MassHealth of almost $20 million, in what Coakley’s office calls an “intricate scheme” involving drug testing, sober homes, and his Preventive Medicine Associates (PMA). According to Coakley, Kishore used various bribes or kickbacks to persuade sober house owners to require residents to submit urine tests at least three times per week. The tests were performed by PMA’s office laboratories, then billed to MassHealth, which pays $100 to $200 for such screens. Also charged in the case were Carl Smith, manager of New Horizon House, John Coughlin, president of Gianna’s House, and Thomas Leonard, part owner and manager of Marshall House—all for receiving kickbacks.
